We Welcome You!

Either you are just starting, or have already stepped out of the corporate world to work for yourself and/or on behalf of your loved ones. Whether you have been independent for a few weeks or years, it is important to remain competitive. The one thing that we (at nubizsoho) missed about not being part of the corporate world is the “continuing education.” Periodically, the companies we worked for would make available seminars or workshops that would focus on one aspect of doing business. Sometimes, these events took place at the local college, a hotel conference room or on premises. It was mandatory to attend two or three per year, whether we liked it or not. Men and women who are well trained in their respective fields of expertise always administered the information. Afterward we always felt reinvigorated and ready to apply what we had learned for the betterment of the corporation.

Now that we have become the “corporation,” the scenario still holds true, if not more so. Just starting your own business is just the beginning. Unfortunately, that is where many new business owners end--at the beginning. Their dreams start out bright and promising, then start to die. They may have enough working knowledge to start, but not enough to stay aloft and eventually soar to greater heights of achievement. That is why corporations send their employees to these workshops. That is why the heads of these corporations attend seminars. It is called “continuing education” for a reason: It is vital to the ongoing growth of any business. Without it, you will be left behind.

If you reside in or near a metropolitan area, you may still be able to take advantage of such training. However, the cost could be exorbitant and, therefore, detrimental to businesses with small budgets. Our Goal is simple: to provide a small list of proven sources that will help you improve your ability to run a successful business. Some offer their services free and some charge a reasonable fee for their expertise. Either way, we feel that you will find top-notch advice and assistance. Take your time and browse through our current selection (more to come) of Recommended Courses, Products and Websites that will help you remain on the road to independence!

For those of you who are still considering self-employment, this site is not so much about business opportunities (we do offer a few that REALLY work) as it is about starting, growing, and strengthening your chosen business. If you are among the many who are still thinking about it, please take the "Entrepreneurial Self-Assessment" and then read our "Advice From the Staff." The advice is blunt, but it may help you avoid making a very serious mistake.
